I like this show, but these people are driving me nuts. Civilization as they know it is over, and they aren't doing what has to be done for their community to survive.

Especially that bit with the credit card. "I know the machines are down but you have to take it," she says. That's a bunch of crap. There are no more credit card companies; that chunk of plastic is just that and nothing more: a chunk of plastic.

I never really heard of this show until season 1 marathoned on Universal-HD last week, and the nuke commercials looked interesting and I DVR'd it.

Damn, what a good show.

And since this is the spoiler thread I will just say that Major Dad's death really sucked. He was my fave character.

Also, half way through the season I kept really really really hoping (but not really expecting) that this show was a stealth Battlestar Gallactica spinnoff. Cylons find Earth and nuke it, just like they did to Caprica, and it would be perfectly realistic that the small town in Kansas would not know what was happening.

And all of a sudden in the 15th episode of the season a company of centurions are marching down main street while Johnston Green looks on.

And Hawkins is a cylon.

Would have been the slickest spinoff in television history.

It's still a good show.

I heard the first ep of season 2 didn't blow ratings away, and it may be canceled again halfway through the season.

So far I think I'm liking the "new and improved" Jerico better, and I liked the first run.

And I like the black guy. I like they can make a cool ass central character of color without having to play into stereo-types.
