I just realized... Korben Dallas was John Maclaine's (sp?) Great Great Great Great Great Grandson.
'splain.

Peeps were saying they knew Bruce Willis from his smaller films. I was about to say I knew him from Fifth Element... then I realized Korben Dallas was basically the same character as John Maclaine, with fewer "mother fuckers" thrown in. Good, gruff, unpolished guy saving the day against crazy odds.
Korben could be a distant descendant of John.

If it were a K. Smith or Tarantino film, I'd say you were onto something.

Yea, apparently he's been a huge Bruce Willis/Die Hard fan for quite sometime.

Shockingly, the average reviews for the film on Yahoo are a B from the critics and an A- from users.
Now I know it's going to suck.
