I saw an interview somewhere that talk about how the porn industry wasn't real excited to get into the whole HD/Blue Ray market.
From what they said everything was so clear and the picture was so good that many of the imperfections the girls had were more noticeable and it was harder to make the women look hot.
Intriguing. Perhaps between that and delivery of porn through the internet on the rise in comparison to VCR/DVD, maybe on this round of technology the influence of the porn industy is on the decrease.
When some form of holography or multi-sensory virtual reality (a la Strange Days) comes on the market, if there are competing standards I guarantee that the one that allows porn on their format will win. No doubt about it.
