Blood Diner (1987)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Blood Diner (1987)

Post by Leisher »

Currently on Hulu

2 brothers open a health food restaurant that is a huge hit. However, the real purpose of the restaurant is to continue the work of their uncle in resurrecting some god. To do that, they need human parts, which is also in the food.

This is a comedy horror that's light on both. The movie is campy as hell. However, while it was trying to be hilarious, it wasn't.

Gore and tits galore. This is definitely an 80s movie. Some of the effects are genuinely decent.

You'll see better acting at a high school play and better dialogue in an Archie comic. That being said, this is a small cult film, so it has an audience. Maybe you have to be super high to appreciate it?

I will say the one female detective is pretty hot, although they completely hide her body. This is also the only film she ever made. Seems to be the case for a lot of the cast. One of the IMDB reviews was by an extra (if true), and he/she tells an interesting tale of what the set was like. I'd be interested to see a documentary on the making of this movie based on what that person says.

Skip this one.
