Prequel TV series about Superman's family.
Sounds very dull.
Remember, there won't be any super powers. This is just going to be a show about politics.
Krypton - SyFy
If this goes forward I bet there will be. They'll retcon it so that the superpowers are a scientific breakthrough on Krypton and is starting to be applied to soldiers and there's a fight about it in the ruling council and superheros and drama will happen.

Re: Krypton - SyFy
The pilot has been greenlit.
They're claiming it'll follow the in continuity story in the books. I did not read it or even know about its existence, so no idea if it's good or if there are powers.

The problem with prequels is we already know the ending.
Everyone in the series, except time traveler Adam Strange, dies. Everyone. Nothing they do matters because we already know they all fail or succeed, depending on their mission, and Kal-El gets sent to Earth as Krypton explodes. (Oh shit, did I need to say "spoilers"?)
So, why do we care?

I'm done with all shows that ignore movie continuity.

I've heard from a friend that watches that this was a pretty good series. He's a big comic nerd. Said it was interesting.
At any rate, I think I've reached the point where I'd rather a series I like to run out of viewers and get cancelled before they run out of ideas and get bad. Best scenario is they know it's ending and can try to make a satisfying finale.
