I just figured out the the bad guy in Beerfest, evil brewery owner Jürgen Prochnow, known for the chant, "Das boot! Das boot!" when the competitive beer chuggers were drinking from a massive glass boot.

This actor also played the submarine captain in the movie, Das Boot.

How have I never seen a reference to this before? I only figured it out because I watched Beerfest last weekend and saw a screencap of Das Boot just now.

He's also in the original Judge Dredd as the Judge Griffin (villain). Also Beverly Hills 2 and that shitty Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me movie. Lots of other things. Popular "old evil" character dude.

The point being, they chanted 'das boot' in beerfest and he was in a famous movie called das boot.
