I guess he doesn't die in The Avengers. Now, any scene in that film with Iron Man will be without tension, since we know he'll be fine, which is never a given when Joss Whedon is directing.

Never heard of this villain.
Iron Man's main villain is The Mandarin, but I've heard rumors that the studio is worried that he might be too controversial.
They should have gone with Crimson Dynamo. He's the Russian Iron Man.

Yeah, IM2 was a cross between Whiplash and the Crimson Dynamo, but they should have gone with a full on Iron Man versus Iron Man (Crimson Dynamo) story.
I got a bit curious about Savin this morning, and did a little research. I think the Mandarin might be appearing after all.
With the announcement of Savin, I had forgotten that Ben Kingsley is playing the main villain. Of course, he's white, and the Mandarin is Chinese. However, they're filming in China.
I'm wondering if they're making Kingsley some sort of Mandarin without him being "a racist caricature"?
Also, Iron Man 3 will be loosely based on the Extremis storyline.

I hope Banner is working for Stark Industries, and they are all like, "Hi, science-buddy." *fist bump*
And Banner helps him design the armor, just in case.
