Poseidon... Bah! I can't think of any remake of a film I've ever wanted to see, unless you count the prettied-up re-releases of Star Wars as remakes.

The part where's crying at the musical was the best... part.

I thought the sequel was going to be called "Titani" because the ship was on its side buried in the mud up to the "C" and the story would evolve around the society of people that live in an air bubble inside the ship.

(Nobody will get that reference)

The Poseidon Adventure has already been remade. Twice in the last few years.

Hollywood is devoid of new ideas.

I dunno about devoid. Maybe scared as fuck to take a chance on something different that wouldn't make as much cash. Most films've lost all right to be called "art." We should just start calling them "products."

I don't mind remakes as long as it is the right film.

The remake of an action adventure film like King Kong is a fine by me and I like the idea because things can be improved from the original.

But remaking comedies, suspense, or dramas films doesn't make any sense to me. Unless the original idea was good and the film was just poorly executed but in that case it probably wouldn't be remade to begin with.

So King Kong remake good, My Dinner with Andre remake not good.
