Wife saw this for the PS2, and being a huge fan of Snoopy, she immediately picked it up. Then while over in the PC section of Best Buy, she found it for the PC for half the price of the PS2. So that's the version she bought. I loaded it to see what it was all about and so that she could see it.
I started playing it and immediately got hooked. SUUUUUPER fun game. Now, being a Snoopy fan is a must to get the enjoyment we are, but even taking out the fan part, it's still a very fun game. The flight sim part is definately of the arcade variety as TRUE flight physics are ignored. But, basic controls are well represented. You get a plethora of weapon upgrades, planes and maps. The characters are well represented (so far). The missions are entertaining, and so far, the 'plot' is very well done.
You pick up coins during battle that you use to buy upgrades. You collect letters to unlock other characters and planes. You collect balloons to unlock some new weapon systems.
Over all, I give it a very high rating. It's a really fun game. It greatly exceded my expectations. It's not a must play game of the year, but it's WAY worth the $19 it cost. PS2 is $40. I don't like console games as much as PC, so I probably wouldn't rate it as high. But, having not played it, can't speak about it.
Also, I'm playing with a joystick. It naturally supports game pads as well. No idea if the mouse/keyboard controls would keep the level of fun up there.
