I like the fact that he kept the time period the same as the original.

Still not sure about the Jack Black element.

Jack may work in that role. He appears to be playing a sleazy director and I could see him pulling that off. I just hope they don't try to give him a bunch of funny lines.

Film cost about $200M to make, went $32M over budget, & is THREE FUCKING HOURS LONG.

To his credit, he's paying the extra $32 million himself, because he thinks it's important to do this one right no matter what the cost.
Could be a good sign.
