From what I can piece together from the previews, it's the Great Depression, and a formerly mediocre athelete is coming out of retirement stronger than he ever was, and giving hope to millions of broken Americans without hope.

Wasn't this movie out a couple years ago and called Seabuscuit, with the part of Russel Crowe being played by a horse?

Its based on a true story.

I guess coming out of retirement was all the rage back then.

When we're in our 90s someone will make a biopic of Michael Jordan's 2nd comeback, The Golden Bear's 86 Masters, and, of course, John Travolta's comeback.
