A good read.
that's my way of studying a script. I find that if I pretend I'm Elvis, it gives me a little boost to find a character.

"Or I'll pretend that I'm a cowboy — even if the role's not a cowboy. Or I'll say the lines like a U-boat commander, then an Italian lover and the rhythm of that helps me get connected to a part.

"And then slowly ... once I feel that I have some sort of sense of the guy, I drop all that. And I talk like myself."
