I'd never even heard of this before amazon.com recommended it to me.
This is an Animatrix-style bridging of the first Riddick movie Pitch Black and the sequel that I've not yet seen.
Animatrix was all over the place right before Matrix: Reloaded hit the theaters, but I don't know why I never heard of Dark Fury... because in my opinion, it is BAD ASS.
It takes place days... weeks? months? after Riddick, the Imam, and the girl leave the dark planet in the old survey escape skiff. It is on its last legs... and Riddick nurses it along... until it is picked up in its last second of life by a ship. A big ship.
Things happen... and, well, I don't want to give any spoilers. But there are things in there that only Riddick would do, and the supporting characters still really aren't sure if Riddick cares about them, or not.
This DVD, though only about 40 minutes long, is a must-see if you like the Riddick story even a little. There's some decent extras on it as well.
