This is definatly a game I would get but I don't know if I would get it on day 1. I can remember all the problems morrowind had and dungeon keeper. Morrowind had some fatal bugs that after several hours of playing couldn't be fixed and you had to restart after the new patches.
With all the time you have to put into this game I am definatly going to wait until there are a few patches so I don't lose my character after 35 hours of play because of something I did in the first hour.

Considering all the other games I have lined up to play including the ever present EVE, I doubt I'll touch it before the first patch or two.
But I'll still have it on day 1.

Most weeknights, especially before 10, probably not.
I was going to suggest a company outing this Saturday as it appears I am going to be family and commitment free.

The internets are saying good things!
Who has it?

Do not:
- buy the 360 version. Get the one that can be patched when the game-breaking bugs are found.
- get the game right away. I'd wait until the first patches are out, or until they release it together with the obligatory expansions in a combo-pack.

I have it already, and will be installing it tonight, but I'm not sure where it will jump into my gaming list.
Painkiller, SC:CT, Indigo Prophecy or Oblivion...? Which to play first?
LotR the RTS has been removed from my list for now. I played a few levels the other night and found it to be extremely dull.

I heard Painkiller was good.

I heard Painkiller was good.
These four:Painkiller, SC:CT, Indigo Prophecy or Oblivion
are all rated highly by every mag and website.
I also have three PS2 games in my "waiting to be played list": Ico, Shadows of the Colossus, and Beyond Good and Evil. They all are also highly rated.

Unless you want to collect everything in Beyond Good & Evil or you suck at games you will walk through the game in no time and will be supirsed if you die more then once. It was fun while I played it but still a disapointment.
Ico was pretty short and easy too. The hardest part was the vagueness of it but still worth playing.

I got the PS2 ones because they were all described as original experiences. Ico is particular seemed to really get praise for its storyline and characters.
Sometimes the same old FPS and RTS gameplay gets stale.

Back on track, bought it from Newegg.
Too much good buzz for me to say no.

Beyond Good and Evil is pretty short, you'd be lucky to get 20 hours out of it. 'Course you probably got it for ten bucks at this point. There's a lot of crouching, but the heroine has a cute butt, so it's all good.

Been playing Oblivion this weekend.
Best looking game ever. Sooooooooooooo much to do and this is all before the user mods begin to hit that add months more playtime if you want it, ala Morrowind.
This could be the best RPG ever.

This game is so good it pisses me off that I didn't get more into Morrowind.
I'm already 100% sure that I'll buy Elder Scrolls V.
Bought my first house last night.
I think Bethesda could make a hell of a MMO.

I'm at approx 120 hours of game time and I'm just now working through what I assume is the middle part of the main quest.
I have finished all the quests for two guilds and completed many side quests. There are still a few more guilds that have quests for me if I want them.
Total game times will vary based on if you run through the main storyline or if you go off on your own and do everything there is to do.
I'm debating posting a review now or waiting until I complete the game.
