Is anyone still playing?

Haven't played it since last time we all got together... I could be up for tonight.

I think everyone else gave it up for EVE. I was wanting to finish it up so I could move on to other things. I hate having multiple games going at once (*cough*NWN*cough*). Feels like loose ends.

Last I heard, NWN wasn't loaded. Cause I asked about it once!

And with all the bugs that came with SS2, it's kind of knocked some steam out it. Last time we played, the clients would end up underground with no weapons getting beat on by invisible monsters. So, I didn't give up on it, it just kind of fell off the radar.

I'd be up for either game tonight. I'd play Star Wars too.

I reckon we'll put our multi-game on hold until the next non-alpha patch... and I see some good feedback about it in their forums.

Or, lack of negative feedback, anyway.

You ready to play? If so I'll reinstall.

I'd be available for more NWN. I'll be reinstalling as well. So, I guess we'll just patch to the lastest.

I just checked the forums.

Apparently the latest patch they released was so bad that they went back to a previous beta patch, and people who already patched with the new one got the message that a new bpatch was available... the old one that didn't hose everybody.

Fuck, man.

I think id software are the only assholes who have never sold me a game unplayable at release.

Well, maybe the Age of Empire guys, too.

And Civ, I guess.

But besides them.... no more purchases at game release. Wait 6 months for the patches to make it playable.

Technically, you can add Valve to that list since their games have always worked, just not their distribution software.

Blizzard could fill that list too except for the one hiccup they had when they underestimated the number of users they'd have for Diablo II or was it WoW?

What really sucks is that the game is down to $20 at the stores. So, I paid extra money to have it but not play it.

Craoteam really screwed the pooch. They had a great reputation up until this.

1. Net code worse now than in Beta. Can be on COOP server and if 3rd person joins, 80+% of the time you get to experience the no weapon bug. Sometimes this bug will correct itself when you move to the next level. Sometimes it will strand you on that level while your fellow players continue to the next level.
