It's spring, the season of rolling internet blackouts in my berg courtesy of Com-FUCK YOU BITCH WE HAVE A REGIONAL MONOPOLY-cast.

Guess who has internet speeds that still suck harder than Bunny Lebowski.

We pay for 20/200, and routinely get 22/220, so it's working well here.

Last night, my DVR stops working in the middle of a fucking show with no warning. I call up the assholes at FUCK YOU We Have A City-Wide Monopoly (aka Xfinity/Comcast) who inform me I have to get a new cable box to fix my problem. I exchange the shitty one for a new one the next day. Hook it up and activate it. The DVR is completely blank. No recorded shows, no scheduled recordings. They are 100% untransferrable unless you do it yourself. Wow, I wonder why everyone in the country hates this fucking corporation and the clueless shitheads that run it.

To recap: I wanted to fix my DVR and Comcast pointed me in a direction which ERASED it.

I hear there have been shortages of Internet lately. There certainly was at our MN hotel.

I live less than 1000 feet from a Century Link service center. No, of course I can't get internet service from them. Ramsey and Burnsville Counties are the absolute north-south limits of civilization in the state, respectively.

This entire week has brought back memories of local dialup circa 1998.

On demand service straight up crashes in the middle of a flick and refuses to restart. Nowhere near the first time. Great job xfinity. Keep sucking balls and bribing city officials. I hope you all fucking die of slow and painful sepsis.

The past week, more than 50% of the time when I switch on my machine, I have no internet connection. Fucking awesome.

I had to reboot my router the other day for that problem, like two days after I asked that parallel routing question.

I reboot mine damn near every day, almost as a matter of course now.

Mine does that on it's own. Usually when I'm playing Overwatch.

Knock on wood, but I've had hands-off operation for about 2 years, now. That's why it was noteworthy that I had to reboot it the other day.

I actually recently put in a device that force-reboots the modem and router at 3AM every day, hoping that would maybe solve whatever is causing it to reboot at random times in the evening. Nope.

Just as I thought these walking clusterfucks were getting better -- no internet all morning and counting.
