From here.

..... burden of proof go?

Anyone following the Duke lacrosse team ALLEGED rape might know what I'm talking about.

I understand that it's whitey, I understand that it's Duke! I'm a UNC student, trust me, on normal circumstances we have no love. But in this case, it seems like they have already been prosecuted, tried, and sentenced to death, BEFORE the prosecution has EVEN FILED CHARGES!

Been watching the late night news and it's endless streams of crazy women assistant/head state prosecutors basically saying how guilty the boys are, even with this breaking news of the lack of DNA evidence, and a defense promise of a timeline of photos that would further back their innocence.

Now, i've had my own theories of what happened, and it's too late to make predictions, but let's just say I've been right so far, whitey male bias and all.

I'm mostly disgusted at the state prosecution representatives that have video phoned into all 4 main news channels' talking head shows. Do these people even understand the law? When there is blood in the water, and an election year, they sure don't seem to care about fucking up 40 college students' lives, without even waiting for the evidence to come in.

Oh and a final thought: Rita Cosby is a dude.

(edit GORDON - I moved this thread to the feedback forum and added the 'from here' link at the top. I made no forther edits.)

Yeah, it's getting surreal.

Yeah, it certainly seems sketchy. Although, lax players being the complete asses that they are, it seemed probable.

So far it sounds no worse than several parties I attended in college. With the exception of the "let's skin some strippers" email. That person has issues.

The photos of her appearing beat-up before the party even started sure is interesting. And the complete lack of any DNA or evidence of any rape is damn near... damning.

And the black minister preaching to the black crowd in front of their house about how oppressed they are is pathetic.

And rich white Duke students have a ton to lose by raping some chick when, if memory serves, college sports teams get more ass than a toilet seat as it is... and a black poor stripper has everything to gain by creating a stink and getting settlement money.

The first thing I thought when this all started was, "Wha? Everyone knows lacrosse players are gay."

The way the Duke administration and a large number of students on the campus have treated this thing is beyond disgusting.

They are destroying the lives of 3 accused men who haven't had their day in court AND 37 more men just because they play on the same team. It doesn't matter if they were there or not.

It's funny, but the people doing this are the same types that bitch about how military bombs kill innocent people...

Jesse Jackson will pay college tuition for the stripper, even if she's lying.

http://www.wral.com/news/8729102/detail.html

The Reverend Jesse Jackson says his Rainbow/Push Coalition will pay the college tuition for a black stripper who has made rape allegations against white members of the Duke University lacrosse team.

And the offer stands even if it turns out she fabricated her story.

Lesson learned: black people will be rewarded if they can ruin the lives of white people with false rape allegations.

Maybe he's looking for another mistress. Taken from here
Shortly afterward, it was revealed that Jackson (married since 1963) had an affair with a staffer, Karin Stanford, that resulted in the birth of his daughter Ashley. The Rainbow Push Coalition had paid Stanford, $40,000 to relocate her to Southern California, in addition to a continuing $3,000 a month in support, and $365,000 in funds from Rainbow Push were also used to purchase Stanford’s house. Many commentators questioned the legality of these payments and charged that Jackson was paying “hush money” to Stanford.

It's the mentality of an America that's been effectively immasculated.

I watched Crossing Jordan tonight (from Sunday) and they had a chick on their that got fit shaced drunk and went into an athlete's hotel room with him. They were talking, she blacked out (not passed out, mind you) and when she became aware she was taking a shower and "felt like" she'd been raped. Um... I know we don't like to blame the victim, but can't we make sure that she's at least a fucking victim before we announce a crime's been commited?

That's why I never fuck a liberal. They're way too likely to fuck you back later in a court of law.

Eh, "due process" & all that shit has long since been abandoned by the current legal system. This is not surprising in the least.

The Doorman's take.

You know, when a New York bouncer is opining on this thing, you know it's way out of control.

Yeah, I agree with the "rioting" thing. Brace yourselves if they don't get a conviction, Raleigh/Durham. It'll be Mark Fuhrman all over again.

And fuck you if you think that's racist. :-)

& everyone thought I was paranoid when I did crazy shit in high school. I may've been strung out, amped up, drunk off my ass, or otherwise fucked up, but I ALWAYS had a plan just in case shit hit the fan.

The other "dancer" speaks:
DURHAM, N.C. -- At first, a stripper who performed at a Duke University lacrosse team party doubted the story of a colleague who told police she was dragged into a bathroom and raped.

Now, Kim Roberts isn't so sure.

"I was not in the bathroom when it happened, so I can't say a rape occurred -- and I never will," Roberts told The Associated Press on Thursday in her first on-the-record interview. But after watching defense attorneys release photos of the accuser, and upset by the leaking of both dancers' criminal pasts, she said she has to "wonder about their character."

"In all honesty, I think they're guilty," she said. "And I can't say which ones are guilty ... but somebody did something besides underage drinking. That's my honest-to-God impression."

So she doesn't know if a rape occurred, but they're guilty. But she's not sure who. But SOMEBODY is guilty.

Usually, it was something more substantial.
