From here.
(GORDON edit - I made a front page post about Obama, and moved this thread to serve as feedback. The original thread was pretty much meant as a joke. Just fyi.)
Or not...

Modified version of this, although I don't know why the modded it.

"Hope. Action. Change."
Geez, it's 1992 all over again. Remind me to buy tech stocks 5 or 6 years.

Apparently.
Does anyone give a black man with a muslim name, that reminds people of Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, a snowballs chance in hell of winning the '08 election?

I give him a 5% chance of winning.
I also figure there's a 5% chance that both Hillary and whoever the Repub's run will put their differences aside and run off together to some tropical island.

If it were Obama versus Hillary in the main election, I think Obama could win. Or, more likely, we'd have our first Libertarian president.

Why do they keep electing him? He's a drunk, murderer, and a huge liability to the Democratic party.

Random thoughts about Obama:
* Too bad he has no chance to be our First Black President
* Given that his father is from Kenya, and given that most slaves in America came from West Africa, about the only thing Obama has in common with Black Americans, genetically speaking, is slave-owning white ancestors
* He's a goddam commie just like the rest of the Senate

"I'm a Democrat. I would be really grateful if my party would nominate somebody who doesn't make my skin crawl just thinking of them in the White House (i.e., someone who isn't Hillary Clinton). I'm still looking long and hard at Barack Obama."

Funny little bit on Yahoo today from ABC's morning show. They walked around New York asking people if they could identify people in pictures. All the pictures were of candidates and American Idol contestants. Most peeps had no clue who the candidates were, but knew the American Idol people.
At the end when the hosts were discussing the results, the reporter talked about how she was stunned by someone who didn't know Rudi Guilliani, but knew the AI people because they were in New York city. Diane Sawyer responded with a shocked, "And they didn't know Obama!"
The first thing that came to my mind was "I know who she's voting for."

Wasn't there some movie about that? A candidate went on an American Idol takeoff to get recognition for a campaign.
Here we go.

American Dreamz - He was the president already, and was trying to put a fresh face on politics or something.

Yeah, he's nuts.
In coentext, that statement was from an essay about why Mitt Romney would make a good President, and why he shouldn't be dismissed out of hand just because he's a Mormon.
