Rita Predictions.
Fox News is predicting it'll go right into the bay up the I-45 coridor (literally right over my current location about 10 miles inland from the bay). If it does this, the worst part of Houston itself to be hit will be the east side I-10 coridor, which is the poor side of town. There will be plenty of blacks and hispanics who probably didn't evacuate for the media to focus on.
I have no doubt that Rita will also "prove" that Bush hates black people.

Ever think people may vote Democrat for reasons other than the NOLA disaster? Lots of other issues.
I think you're mixing what I said with what others are saying in this chain. Read my post again, I don't mention Katrina.
I said "the Dems blame the Republicans and Bush for everything and fight against every appointment and bill".
I mean think about it. Bush has been accused of/blamed for:
-the big business scandals that occured during the 90s
-the stock market crash
-the economy completely falling apart in his first year
-9/11
-going into Iraq "alone"
-destroying U.S. relations with the rest of the world
-giving tax breaks ONLY to the rich
-the loss of jobs to overseas markets
-the levees in NO breaking
-Haliburton getting no bid contracts
-oil/gas prices climbing
-nominating the wrong people for EVERY open position
-being racist
-murdering innocent Iraqis/U.S. soldiers
-not protecting the U.S./Mexico border
-increasing the budget
-making the government bigger
-increasing the deficit
-etc, etc, etc
(That list is not a defense of Bush. He's screwed things up, including some things on that list. Just not ALL of them.)

Actually, a better question would be what has Bush done correctly according to Democrats? And while they're answering that, ask them what Clinton did wrong. My problem is that the a good number of those that lean left seem to constantly scream "nothing" to both questions.

I don't remember any republicans claiming to want to KILL Clinton, just impeach him and get him out of office.
Yet today, every time you turn around, lefties are claiming to want to kill W.
I can extrapolate a lot from that single tidbit, but people tend to get upset when I do that.

I challenge you to find proof of what we are seeing today. Go find me websites with Clinton painted as Hitler. Go find me the Republican Underground posts that link Clinton to all the world's evils and threaten revolution. Find me celebrities who said they were moving to other countries if Clinton won. Find me pictures of Clinton with guns added that point to his head. Find me U.S. protestors who were happy that U.S. soldiers died while Clinton was in office. In fact, find me ANY protestors that were mad when the U.S. bombed terrorists or entered Bosnia while Clinton was in office.
Maybe their political rhetoric just doesn't seem as insane because I lean more their way than the other, but I just don't see conservative voters marching up and down the streets demanding an end to democracy.
I know the right does and says a lot of stupid shit, but you have to admit that what we've seen for the last eight years is particularly stupid.

Democrats disliked Reagen. They really disliked Bush Sr. Republicans hated Clinton. Democrats want to kill Bush Jr.
It could be a fundamental difference between these two camps that Republicans speak of impeechment and criminal charges, while Democrats talk of murder. However it could also just be escalation over time.
When we have our next Democratic president, let's see if the conservative crowd talks about impeechment and criminal charges, or if they go on all-out "let's kill him" rants with childish tantrums like the liberals have done these past couple of years. Then we'll know.
