3 times in de pas 2 weeks someone has turned left in front uh me in traffic. This wouldnt bothuh me, except dat each time de person wuz in de right-mos uh THREE lanes.

In othuh words, you wuz mo likely to sustain a neck injury wearin de helmet than you would be to sustain a head injury not wearin a helmet. folk be reactionary, an shit. I remembuh an article I read long ago (goin on 'bout20 years now) uh a hood dat had a school bus crash where one or two students died. Dere wuz a huge cry to add seatbelts to busses. Dis homeyhad a probem wit dis because no one wuz able to site any studies dat showed dat seatbelts actually made school busses safer.

I actually did has a head injury as a crum snacha on my bicycle. I went ovuh de handle-bars an' landed head firs on concrete. I suffard a mild concussion, 'doe I nevuh told my parents. My vision went blurry an' everythin. Honestly, though, I fin' forcin helmets on bikes excessive. Maybe fuh children, but an adult (as wit seat-belts to me) has de right to risk his/huh life if dey want. You will not catch me ridin a bike wit a helmet....period.
