Hehe.

I read one the other day, "Bush campaign reminds all minority voters not to forget to go to the polls November 3rd..."

Remember to vote when you pick up your welfare check this Wednesday!

Fark had this, on a DJ who told Republicans to vote Wednesday.

It may have been intended as a joke, but the local Republicans think it could be damaging misinformation. "It shouldn't be a laughing matter at all," said Johnson County Republican Co-Chair Todd Versteegh.

Suck me.

Personally, that offends the hell out of me.

I don't care what party they are part of, anyone stupid enough to fall for something like that should not be voting.

Just jokes. Since I made the same joke the day before the dj did.

Some people are pretty stupid.

And here's their king:

(John) Kerry also cited examples Sunday of how people were duped into not voting.

"Leaflets are handed out saying Democrats vote on Wednesday, Republicans vote on Tuesday. People are told in telephone calls that if you've ever had a parking ticket, you're not allowed to vote," he said.

The Count Every Vote Act would create a federal holiday for voting, require paper receipts for votes and authorize $500 million to help states upgrade voting systems and equipment.

I'll refrain from making any Hillary comments, but it's difficult.

1/2 billion dollars- Chump change to the federal government. Course it will make the voters feel good and do absolutely nothing except waste money on a new program that will ask for more money later.

Federal holiday - Hey, I'm all for a new holiday. But come on, your employer is suposed to let you have time to vote. Alot of polls are open early and late to accomidate working folks. I went early and had no problem. Course I live in BFI.

Paper receipts!?! WTF is that going to do other than require new equipment (more $) and use up tape that could be used to keep the gas pump receipts running. I hate it when I have to go in and get a receipt. Sorta defeats the purpose of pay at the pump.

So thank you Democrats for finding another hair brained scheme to spend more of our money on a useless idea.

Don't get me wrong, voting is extremely important, but this bill won't help.

Holy shit this is hilarious.

Look where Kerry got his information.

Is he the idiot, his staff, or all of the above?

The question is, who posted it first... me or The Onion?

Sorry bud, but the Onion's article is dated Oct. 27th, yours is Nov 1st.

Actually, Scrappleface seems to have done it first...in July.

If you read the article I linked in my prior post it talks about Kerry's comments. Had there been even one actual reporter at his speech, we would have heard someone say: "Can we see one of these leaflets?"
