1. Thirteen years ago today, I was embarking abourd the USS Iwo Jima in Norfolk, VA for a six month deployment with my unit, 2nd Battallion, 2nd Marines.

2. Today, my Grandfather died in Ohio, and I'm on my way to pay my respects.

3. Don't forget to start the appropriate "Happy Birthday" threads for the next week... there's a couple coming, unless I'm mistaken.
