Is it wrong to be a little amused by the red-on-red violence?

ISIS are hardcore Sharia-psychos. I'll call them the greater evil on that fact alone.

That code of law is a step back towards the fucking Stone Age.

At this point, I have a hard time caring. Maybe this is exactly what they need before they decide for themselves they need a secular society. It sure didn't take when it was forced upon them.

If someone forces something on me, I generally resist them, you know, just to be a dick. /jeselnik

I don't like this any more than you men, but this is how they want it. Well, they get it.

That would help a great deal. But that requires a working economy.

I'm really moving towards the "fucking destroy them" option.
As well as Assyrian statues of winged bulls from the Mesopotamian cities of Nineveh and Nimrud, Gailani said the Islamic State hardliners appeared to have destroyed statues from Hatra, a Hellenistic-Parthian city in northern Iraq dating back around 2,000 years.

ISIS cleaning their pools. The Kurds might actually know what it's like to get hit with something like this, considering Saddam did way worse to them in the '80s.

Obama on training Iraqi troops: we got nothing.
We don't yet have a complete strategy because it requires commitments on the part of the Iraqis
Like not doing the 100-yard dash in the opposite direction whenever ISIS troops show up. Glad we pissed away all our time and cash over there to watch that place overrun by a different variety of psycho. That's like cleaning a house so someone can dump fresh trash inside.

ISIS hacking crew publishes details of military and government personnel.
They're urging folks to attack them.
This is the sort of strategy that could backfire dramatically.

I don't envision Obama caring, though, unless it is in a "blame the victims" capacity.

Preserving history. As much as the Middle East loves to evoke the legacy of Mesopotamia and other regions and times when that area of the world was at the forefront of progress, they don't seem interested in defending it.

Because they don't care.
And how stupid do you have to be to destroy history? Hey dummies, all you have to do is ask yourselves "How old is too old" to realize the ignorance in your actions.

For Muhammad "too old" was like 10.
