I'll be on between 8 and 9 pm... whenever I can dump the kid in the bed.
I expect to say at least Leisher and Cakedaddy, tonight.

I will be on sometime around 9ish. I've got dinner plans and then I'll play.

Uh oh. I just shut down as my PC was acting a bit slow and now it won't boot back up...
(I'm on the wife's PC typing this.)
I'm thinking power supply. I'm hitting power to no avail unless I pull the plug, then it tries once and goes dead.

The motherboard can do that sort of thing, too, so best to test. Try swapping power supplies with your wife's PC and see if that works, that'll let you be sure.

You people suck in a "GORDON takes the time to make sure he could be up late playing/nobody shows up" kind of way.

Installing power supply now Gordo. If it works I'll be there momentarily. (10:00 p.m. now)

This kind of problem has happened to me twice:
Once I never figured it out, and swapping power supplies did nothing. I suspect the Mobo.
Second time: when the weather changed, and the house got a few degrees warmer, the metal PC case expanded just right that a piece of the metal case was shorting out the mobo. Putting electrical tape on the case everywhere where the screws held down the mobo fixed that issue. You can test by pulling the mobo, putting it on a non-conductive surface, turning it on, and see if you get the power-down issue.

After swapping the power supply, my PC is up and running again.
Damn I hope it didn't damage anything. I'm trying to hold off upgrading until Vista.

Once Cake and Leisher showed, it was a decent time. I turned the password off and a 4th random peep jumpd in, for a couple hours.
Wizzord on the strizzeet is that Doctor Chaos will be joining the fun, soon.
The only real question is, where are the rest of you tizzards?

3 for sure, 4 if DocChaos gets it.
To my knowledge.
It's cheap, now... since 2 came out...
