I've been seeing a lot of these types of stories lately, so I'll just put them all in this thread.

Retired Marine Captain beats down rowdy guy on plane.

His wife doesn't even look up from the book she's reading... she knew how the situation would end.

Hayden's wife of 42 years, Katie, who was also on the flight, was less impressed. Even as her husband struggled with the agitated passenger, she barely looked up from "The Richest Man in Babylon," the book she was reading.

"The woman sitting in front of us was very upset and asked me how I could just sit there reading," Katie Hayden said. "Bob's been shot at. He's been stabbed. He's taken knives away. He knows how to handle those situations. I figured he would go up there and step on somebody's neck, and that would be the end of it. I knew how that situation would end. I didn't know how the book would end."

71 year old ex Marine shoots 2 guys robbing a Subway sub shop.

Hearsay sez:

The robbers walk in and demand money from the lone clerk.
One of the robbers walks up to the old guy eating his Veggie Delight and demands his valuables as well.
Ex-Marine pulls out 500$ and slams it on the table and tells the two guys to fuck off.
The robbers start harrassing the guy and pull him up and start pushing him into the bathroom.
Guy pulls out a gun and shoots one in the head and chest, and while the other is running off, gets a shot off on him as well.

Then he probably sat back down and finished his sandwich using their still warm blood as ketchup.

70 year old Marine saves cruise passengers.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/upi....ise.xml

The Legend passengers were taking a private tour of the town of Limon when three armed men confronted them, the New York Daily News reported.

Passengers said the unidentified former Marine took immediate action, grabbing one of the gunmen and snapping his neck.

"Thank God, he's a hero," said Tony Barry, a New York native who lives in Florida. "Everybody thought it was great what he did."

"It was a horror," Bill Phillips of Long Island told the newspaper. "From the moment I stepped off the ship, I knew it was very dangerous."

Crewmembers reportedly warned passengers about the dangers of the port town, the Daily News said.

"Carnival knew it was a dangerous place, so I don't understand why they even took us there," says Louis Cuglietto, of Paramus, N.J.

No charges were filed against the former Marine, the newspaper said.

Jesus. It gives me chills. And erect nipples.

I followed the link to the video of the old guy fighting the 27 year old and saw this below the video:
Update: The WSJ just insinuated this video was "funded by a Re-reconqista White Spanish Supremacist group called 'The Sons of Cortez.'"

WTF?

Click through to the original article.

I'm sorry, but once you commit a crime, you forfeit any rights. If someone there kills you for being a law-breaking dumbass, then it's your fault for being a law-breaking dumbass.

Once someone breaks the laws of society, it's back to the law of the jungle. Ain't got the firepower? You lose.

"Keith's left leg was shattered so badly in that attack that he was told by doctors that he would not be able to walk again without the help of a cane, but Keith, well, he had other plans. And just a few months ago, he completed a 100-mile ultra-marathon in Florida, raising $50,000 for the Special Operations Warrior Fund."

Former Marine refuses to pay extortion money to a union.

Badass in a different way.

http://www.foxnews.com/us....ine-job

Massachusetts lawmakers passed an amendment on Monday expected to save the job of a public high school ROTC instructor who refused to pay teachers
union fees.

State senator Richard R. Tisei introduced legislation last week on behalf of Maj. Stephen L. Godin, a retired Marine and ROTC instructor who was told he'd get the ax if he didn't chalk up a $500 teachers union "agency fee."

Meanwhile, every liberal teacher paying this fee takes a moment today to degrade the military in front of their students.

An official with the Massachusetts Teachers Association said state law requires public employees--including teachers at public schools--to join unions as a condition of employment or to pay an agency fee.

Ummm... wut wut wut?

I vaguely remember someone telling me long ago that certain jobs in certain states legally required you to be in a union.
