Doomed by God's wrath.

Note that you don't see a R or D by any of those names. It's because they're all Ds.

I saw her on TV speaking in tongues. I would have voted for her.

Our zoo is in the running for best X-Mas lights (it won last year), and a spruce there is in the top ten of the nation.

Hilarious community spirit.

I drive by this thing every work day. I have looked at this week when it was just a weed and warm outside. One day, I noticed tinsel. Then a small bulb. Then a few weeks later people have gone batshit adding all sorts of stuff. This morning there was a skirt around the base and star on top.

I decided not to do a Santa dive at the zoo, this year. The suit is hard to move in, and when you're in the water the beard is constantly floating up into your face.

Zoo pissed me off last week. We were there for the lights and Libby had the aquarium closed for an event. That is fine, however it's the only bathrooms in that part of the zoo. I was counting in my head, and I'm pretty sure laws were being broken when you consider the number of guests that were there (packed as usual), and the number of public restrooms.

I think Libby paid for the aquarium restoration, a few years ago. That's still a dick move, though, closing it on a Zoo Lights night.

There's a tree on north 75 at exit 199 that's been decorated. Started a few years back. However, the tree grew faster than it could get decorated so only the bottom 3rd is decorated now. But it's still fun to see how many new decorations show up on it. It was about 6 feet tall when it started. It's about 15 feet now.

It has its own FB page "West Toledo Christmas Weed".

There are people complaining about the attention it's getting saying that effort should go to the homeless and babies in the hospital. *sigh* People are fucking stupid.

Well, if someone wraps tinsel and lights on the homeless, they'll get attention, too.

People have been bringing food and gifts to put around it.

It's kind of amazing.

I want to note that the original weed was ripped out of the ground by teenagers a few days ago. They filmed themselves doing it, and thought they were just the coolest people in the world. (No, but seriously, teenagers might be worse than Nazis.)

Anyway, all the over the top donations, new mini-trees, massive decorations, and so on have appeared there ever since.

It's like Toledo is spontaneously doing it's own version of how the whos dealt with the Grinch.

I seriously wondered why that hadn't happened, yet. I didn't know it already had.

Did they get fucked over on social media?

Not sure what repercussions they faced, but it clearly backfired on them. They received no notoriety, and nobody gives a fuck about them. For example: You weren't even aware it happened.

Tomorrow at 5 p.m. there will be carolers at the weed. I also heard that tomorrow they're expecting 1800 at the weed for something or other.

Also, this all started because some guy left church and had tinsel in his car for some reason. His mom said "you should put some on that weed".

I think it's good for teenagers to learn, "actions have consequences" before they get old enough to do actual time in jail.
