I've been following this guy for the last couple weeks as he has battled his state's teachers union, and getting "joke" death threats from it.
Now he is defunding the state's entire global warming fun to cover the budget deficit... HA!

I would vote for this guy.

"DEP is at its lowest level of funding in more than 25 years," Tittel said. "There won't be enough people at DEP to issue the permits required to protect public health and the environment and ensure that our economy gets going."
Oh, dash it all. Whatever will you do without the proper permits?
EDIT : And explain how public health & the environment have more of an impact on the economy than the state budget.

more than 20,000 contaminated sites in New Jersey
Here is something I could never understand. Why are there 20,000 contaminated sites to begin with.(Maybe not enough permits were issued? Heh) Why are companies allowed to fuck up the sites then just walk away. Leaving the citizens of NJ to pay for the clean up.

I'd like to know what "contaminated" means.
I frequently leave the bathroom "contaminated."

I was thinking more on the lines of this. So basically I'm thinking the company shut down and we are stuck cleaning up the mess. I don't know how bad sulfur is but it is one thing left over from Ohio coal strip mines. I know people that coal mine. They form a company. Get there permits. Mine the coal, declare bankruptcy, leave the mess for joe public to clean up, form a new company.
If you shit where you eat long enough you are going to get sick. There is a place for everything including nuclear(although that is heavily debated)

In towns where they failed, the budgets will now be presented to the local governing body, which can cut or leave the spending plans as is.
Wait, what? What's the point of putting budgets on the ballots if a no vote just means the local school board will then pass them anyway?

Once you mentioned it I notice it was worded confusingly.
