Allegedly, Sean Hannity got a hold of an early copy of Obama's talking points for his upcoming <s>propaganda rally</s> State of the Union address. If you're wondering what the state of the union is, we're shoving a pointy stick up our ass a little more everyday.

I watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report nightly as I want something on that doesn't draw my attention away from whatever game I'm playing. And I like that channel as I'm waiting for Tosh.0, South Park, and/or Futurama.
Before I address the point I'm going to make that relates to this thread, let me just say that Jon Stewart is a funny guy. He makes some excellent points from time to time, I'd even go so far as to say at least one per show. However, he needs to stop pretending to be unbiased. His show is ridiculously left. They spin EVERYTHING to make the left look better. For example, when Obama's 100 day report card came out showcasing that the country is worse off and he still hadn't fulfilled a single promise, he did a bit with a "Senior Black Reporter" about how Obama isn't a "magic negro" and completely ignored the actual issue.
Anyway, on the Colbert Report last night, the guest was some Democratic strategist and Colbert asked him what Obama should say tonight. The guy responded that in Reagan's first state of the union address he made a really solid and brief opening statement and then proceeded to blast Democrats for the next 10 minutes over their policies of the previous years. This guy then suggested that he believes Obama should give the same sort of speech, because they need to blame the Republicans for the state of the country. Colbert completely dropped character and looked at this guy with a shocked expression, and said, "Are you kidding? That's all they've done for the past year."
That stunned me. I thought Colbert was farther left than Stewart.
I honestly think tonight's speech will be:
-Start off talking about how tough it is right now for Americans and how unhappy they are with their elected leaders.
-Blame the Republicans for where we are.
-Blame the Republicans for Obama not fulfilling his promises. (specify how he reaches out to them, but they reject him)
-Talk about unity and bi-partisanship.
-Talk about how his policies have won the war in Iraq.
-Talk about Afghanistan, particularly their new attempt at non-violent tactics
-Make more empty promises about the next three years.
So to sum up: Bullshit.

Hear, hear, I never miss an episode of either show! I may hate their politics, but I usually agree with their calling of others on their bullshit.
However, he needs to stop pretending to be unbiased. His show is ridiculously left.
Of course it is, and he makes no pretentions otherwise. He's never pretended to be even slightly unbiased. He's a New York Liberal Jew and proud of it. That doesn't mean he can't still point out when others are absurdly biased as well.
I thought Colbert was farther left than Stewart.
While it's hard to be sure, I've always suspected that Colbert leans a bit more libertarian than liberal. Not by much, of course, but far more so than Stewart.

As to tonight, I'm recording it but probably won't watch it. I'll get my summary from Stewart and Colbert. But I do expect he'll claim to have done all sorts of excellent work and saved us from all living in caves and subsisting on dung and bugs because our money spontaneously combusted. (well, didn't that is, because he saved us)
