Went to get on real quick and my research server is down.
I also noticed that not a single player is on the Darkfall server.
I wonder if the hacker drove them off or the admin's friends dominating the server?

I couldn't hear you, was just popping on real quick, didn't have headphones.
I made a gun and a laser sight. Unfortunately, I made the sight BEFORE I realized my gun had no slots.

I'm going to keep working on my current house plan, but I have another thought worth noting. What about a house with no internal connections? You set it up as a square around a courtyard with all doors facing inwards. Crafting tools are in there. Storage crates are all around, without too much of it concentrated in any one room. Anything they blow they only get a small bit of goodies and have to keep blowing. As long as you keep it so that the amount of C4 required to get into any given room is worth less than the goods inside then they'll always take a loss on every raid and maybe eventually give up.

I was sitting here tonight waiting for people to get into the friends list in game, and didn't notice until now that Steam was logged out. Fuck.
A couple of ideas:
1. Built a storage facility WAY outside the populated area. I'm talking go west past Beach mountain and keep going into the hills until you find a nice spot behind some hills. Hell, you can apparently reach mountains out there. Might be a perfect spot to build a place to store resources. That way if we get raided, we lose some, but not all, and can regroup there.
I'll make it a point tomorrow to explore out that far to see what I find.
2. I still say we should be on a rare and non-craftable C4 server. Also, "non-sleeper" might be nice too for people to log off and not worry about losing their gun, ammo, and armor.
I have more, but it's late. I'll post tomorrow.

We're on a no-craft c4 server right now that seems to be pretty good.
The best is if we can find a brand spanking new, low ping, non-craft c4, limited sleeper server. Preferably tomorrow because my office is closed and ATL is totally shut down!

A thought I had today was just a ton of small one square houses all over the place. Ran by a 2 square house with a metal door tonight. Thought, "That house is so insecure. But, they probably don't have much in there either." Which led to "Hmmm, look poor and they won't bother." It wasn't until our house went way up on the other server that we had any attention. We could build 15 small houses and keep stuff in 5 of them.
We can still build a big massive house that they can blow all to shit. By the time they figure out there's nothing in it, they don't have enough C4 for anything else!

Good scrounging while snowed in today. Our weapon stockpile is 2 MP5s, about a half dozen pistols, and a few shotguns. Leather armor and med kits.

I think Jelly is a dick too. HOWEVER, after getting the game reloaded last night, I went to Big Civ hoping to run into someone to see if things were running smoother. I was in a building with him, looted the chest next to the one he was looting. He pointed his pistol at me, but never shot. I was getting a lot of rads and left the area. I was REALLY surprised he didn't shoot me. Especially with my obviously tracking him cause I wanted to see if he was twitchy.
But that doesn't put him on the friendly list because I've seen too much chatter in local to know better. Just relaying a story.

Man, that was the best server start I'd ever had. Lots of wood, P250 blueprint, lots of bullets... and then it restarted.
