What's up with Firefox lately? Running it on a few machines (different OSs), and once I've been using it a bit, it begins locking up for 10-40 seconds when I open a new link/video/etc., then resumes working.
I'm wondering if they're having an issue with Flash?

I've experienced that a very minimal amount. But then, you watch WAY more porn than I do.

Of course, there is more straight porn out there than gay porn.

I removed flash from my machine a while back (6 months or so), cuz I got sick of it.
Bad news: FireFox is still slower than death. It's like the new IE.

This performance bug appears to have reared its ugly head again. FF is straight up dying on my ESPN FF pages. Not Flash-related, either. I've manually taken that out of the picture and the browser is hanging like a chimp with rigor mortis on a tree branch. Takes over 10s for the process to stop after the browser window's been closed.
WTF, Mozilla? You carved your market out of IE's because they did stupid shit like this.
EDIT: Posted from Chrome.

I use all three now for different things.
I've noticed Firefox likes to crash a lot when I'm playing ArcheAge.
Also, you know how I can tell when a computer is on? Flash has crashed.

I refuse to install that POS soft on my desktop. Adobe Flash is hopeless.

I've been using Opera with most things for about 4-6 months maybe. Liking it. Use Chrome at work and it's not very stable there. Plus, I figure I'd use something other than Google to at least make the NSA do some work for my data.

The holy triumvirate of web dev is FF, IE, and Chrome. I got little choice.

Wow. FF updated today. It still takes 30 goddamned seconds to bring up Google's home page from the first click. 30 seconds. Google. I could get a first year art student to sketch it quicker. Chrome? 3-4 seconds. IE: 15 seconds. Can't believe it. Sheer incompetence.

FF just did get into Yahoo's pocket, so maybe that's intentional

Hmm. Problem might be environmental. Laptop FF is slow. Desktop FF flies.

Instead of locking of forever, it now spreads the forever out over small increments. Specifically every fucking time it has to load a resource from an external site. Google Chrome opened a web page faster with FF getting a 30s head start. Was the anti-gay dude they bounced the only one keeping the sanity around there?

FF's performance has been dragged down into "suck" again. I can give it a 30s head start and Chrome still loads every tab faster. IE outperforms FF at this point.

WTF??? Now FF thinks it's crashed every time I close a browser window. What the fucking shit has happened to that place?

FF has gone way down hill. I don't think it's faster than IE, FF crashes a lot more often, it seems to be a memory hog, and Flash loves to crash in it as well.

Fixed with latest update. Still loads links from google news 100x slower than Chrome and 50x slower than IE.
