I think I may have asked this in the past, but I pulled the trigger on killing the home phone service and now I need updated info.

What's a perfect but inexpensive way to plug my cell phone into the existing home phone network in such a manner that it is removable when I leave the house, but when plugged in I can use my existing hand sets?

Something like this, I reckon. Finally figured out the correct amazon search string.

A friend of mine bought an ObiHai device for $60, ported his home # to Google Voice, and pays $1.50/month for 911 service. But that's not about using cell technology, just broadband instead of home phone.

Right now, we have TWC, but we're on a price break until next summer.
