why would I care about this thing? I mean, aside from taking it to a bar to make sure im not getting shorted.

For instance, it could differentiate between Tropicana orange juice with and without pulp, and instantaneously knew how much sugar was in each.
Random crap like this. I routinely toss arbitrary combos of fruits/veggies/etc in my blender. Also measures caffeine content. I'd be curious to drop in various microbrews and see what the analysis suggests.

Yeah, I'd have to see it in action.
This is one of those items that I'd be interested in, but I'd want to see the consumer report on it first to see if testing matched the claims.
