Need money... go to the belts
Need items... go to the belts.
Need implants.... well you could do missions, or just buy them with all the money you get from doing the belts.

On an hour break while sitting in the library, I managed to kill in a .3 system Asteroid belt.

3 Guritas Feroxs 170k, each
4 Cruisers 100k each
1 Officer Cruiser 600k!!
10 fighters 10k each.

Clearly if you aren't worried about doing missions to try and work your way to a good offer, this is the way to go./

In my little hour I managed to snag no less than 3 named heavy launchers, 2 named multispec jammers, and a bunch of named Active hardeners.

Speaking of asteroid belts...

I know of a system where there are many asteroid belts and very few players. I have yet to even see one, but I know they do come through because...

These asteroid belts are usually filled with cargo containers that have been left behind by people not interested in them.

So if I were to take my rookie ship in and started "harvesting" these containers, what would be the possible outcomes? I know it's going to flag me a thief, but is that permanent? Am I only "red" to the peeps who left the containers and their corps? How long will I be flagged? Do you think the haul could be worth going through all that trouble? If I switch ships will I still be flagged?

Can I dock while flagged? Will the cops attack me?

You will be flagged to the person/corp/gang for 15 minutes, and you will see who you will be flagged to in your upper left.

You could loot but you would have to be extremely careful and have a knowledge of saftey bookmarks and lining up your ship to jump off points... so it may not be worth it, risk wise

If you dock you will be safe, as the fuzz doesn't care about looting, but they won't lift a finger if you get attacked, either.

Since they are NOWHERE in the system and literally do not come back for their cargo (I've been here for hours and they haven't returned) would it tell them I'm a thief to them or would my theft be unreported to them?

I honestly know I can take this stuff without anyone coming by, but if they get a report that says who took their stuff then I'd be on someone's hit list. I don't mind getting on a hit list for battle, but I don't want to get on one because I picked up and sold stuff that was beneath them.

Know what I mean?

Just watch your local, if they show up to look for you, dock ASAP, and you will be fine. You will know thanks to that "aggression timer" who to watch out for.

Well, like I said, I'm not worried about anyone being around locally. I'd be more concerned with cargo space.

I just want to know that they'll have no idea what I did at all unless they come back here and catch in the act.

I'm in one belt (probably a dozen or more here) a really quick count yields 30 containers just laying around waiting to never be opened. Quick, easy cash, but not worth a corp hunting actively for me forever.

As far as I know, they receive no notification, you just get tagged as a valid target.

So, about 25 million in parts.

AND you are a PK's wet dream! No WCS and NOT loaded for PvP. hehe

I may have to fly escort in a destroyer with a PVP load out. 5 guns, 3 energy suckers, webber, etc. Need some named blasters though, else he will just out damage me. Watching that video, he took LARGE chunks out of people with whatever he has.

A little, but I tend to find systems that are deserted and then hunt in them. If that means making a few extra jumps or jettising extra loot because there is no station nearbye, so be it. The money and loot are well worth it.

Just scored the Cargo expander right under the one you got... it's only worth 11m tho :(

Belts in 0.5 space - not so lucrative... 10k bounty for 3 fighters, 6k bounty for 3 others... 20 minutes.

crap for cargo.

Cake, can you make everyone directors? For some reason, directors (as far as I can tell) cannot affect hangar permissions, so if someone creates a new base, we have to wait for you to set the permissions, cept for us directors.

If everyone is a director. . . How am I in charge again?

You're the only one who can make us directors, and set hangar permissions. That's how.

No one else can set hangar permissions? I thought that's why you needed director. Or, are you saying director gives you hangar permissions. . . Oh well. As long as I'm still in charge. . .
