So who has a Droid?

Just got a Droid X2 to replace my Blackberry POS.

Unlike my BB, this phone has wifi built into it, so of course I want to be using that over cellular data DLing, when possible. I have it connected to my secured network, but has anyone ever had any luck getting a Droid to actually see your network drives?

Cursory googling says "there's an app for that," but I just thought I'd see if any y'all idiots had anything to say about it.

I have an HTC Desire. I love it.

I've never looked into using it on a LAN though. I mean, I connect to WiFi all the time and I tether it all the time but I just plug it into my PC and copy/paste files from one to the other.

I love how it syncs with my Google calendar, which syncs with my Outlook Calendar.

I use the WiFi, but like Paul, I copy/paste in the USB drive mode to move files over (which itself is pretty rare). My music is in Google Music cloud, so all I ever move is photos, probably.

The Google Calendar / Outlook sync stuff is complete win.

My goal is to make the phone look like any other shared drive on my network so when it comes time to move files, pics or music or whatever, I can just do it from whichever PC I happen to be sitting near without having to grab the phone and hard wire it.

Interesting. DLNA may work. Wonder if it would work even with the phone in standby mode, or if it needs to be fully awake.
