Well, learned something new about the app I use for industrial production of thumbnails. Apparently, it can churn out upwards of one thousand thumbnails per minute, no problem. However, when one selects a large number of files from the source folder, it can't handle more than a hundred or so selections or deselections of the files. Wtf? So, I highlight a quarter of the list at a time, make thumbnails, KILL application, lather, rinse, repeat. Again, wtf?

Gets better. The upload multiple file functionality on their FTP server (which again, I have no direct access to despite the fact that we pay for the space, goddamnit) breaks when you try to upload too many files as I found out. However, if you choose to upload a folder, it happily enqueues them all & warns you once for every thousand products that uploading this many files at once is a bad idea. Then, when you try to upload, it fucking crashes the browser, in this case FORCED to be IE cos of their fucking FTP interface. I'm thinking of just burning the images to CD plus a small readme file, & just fucking mailing it to them.
