My hard drive started making a clacking noise yesterday. It causes the PC to shut down.
This is bad, right?
It happened when I was the only person at work, swamped with jobs to do, and the phone ringing like crazy.
I'm on a new drive now... doing all the recover/install/update crap.
At least I'll have a cleaner system after this is over.

I just want to say I really like the way XP picked up *all* of my hardware the first time.
Plug'n play that actually works... who'd have thunk it?

Was this your first XP install?

First this week.
Maybe.... 150th ever.
Most of the time XP won't install everything (especially with hardware built into the motherboard), but I guess my PC was special.
Edit: Oops. I lied. I did two other installs this week. Please forgive me, Gordon. I didn't mean to lie. I'm so sorry.

what I've felt
what I've known
never shined through in what I've shown
never be
never see
won't see what might have been
what I've felt
what I've known
never shined through in what I've shown
never free
never me...
