Who is MysteryDog?

Make sure you guys are posting coordinates when you're discussing attacks and such. Saying things like "west" doesn't really narrow things down.

Describe how a siege works.

We do talk coordinates. One thread opens up with them as the two possible targets. In later threads, those locations are east and central, as looking up the coordinates each time is tedious. The latest is an extension of the central and we refer to him by name, swipht. In some of the posts we didn't mention coordinates because the people involved already knew them. There's a fair amount of chat that takes place in alliance chat as well.

There are a few different attacks you can do on a city, which you may already know.

Plunder - low combat, steal the goods.
Assault - high combat. Hit them, do as much damage as possible, leave. No looting (that I know of)
Siege - medium combat, settling in for the long haul. Once the siege is started, it continues until the attacker calls his troops back. This can be done with or without a baron. If there is no baron, the fight continues, but there is no chance of capturing the city. Only doing damage. While a city is under siege by a unit that includes a baron, no trading with the city can occur. All troops, including those sent by other people as support, are fed by the city under siege. So, make sure you have PLENTY of food in storage. You can't ship in more. People who send troops for support receive no battle reports either. They all get sent to the city's owner. The only way to monitor your troops while they are in support mode is to look at the size of your unit. If it's shrinking, you know you are losing stuff. But you have no idea how much damage you are doing. It's up to the city's owner to monitor success/failure.

I think that's it.

Assault brings home loot.
