Ouch on both sides.
If he wasn't watching I would feel better about laying a siege on him.... should I? Will have a Baron by morning.

I lost 39% of my total attack force.
He lost, and this is an eyeball guesstimate, about 60% of his defense force.
Right now he is building up defenses, making more units, and possibly calling in support from friends.
What to do, what to do.

And his city score has gone up 40 points in the last 15 minutes.
I'm thinking I am going to hold off attacking again and build like crazy, unless someone can jump in and help.

Hell with it, it is only server 3... burning items and diamonds to build a baron and some troops and get to sieging.

Do I need resources to lay a siege, like when I am settling a new city?

His city has grown by 100 points since I launched my attack.... about 2.5% growth. I would guess it is all defensive towers.
I am launching a siege when my troops get back. Will post the numbers when the time comes.

Siege initiated.

I hope he didn't burn as many diamonds as I did.

I pulled back after the second round of the siege. I took almost 10% casualties, He took about 20% casualties, but Night Protection had my attacks down 40% and it is only getting worse. I will try again in the morning and see if he is paying attention.

Did you plunder, or assault on the first run?
I can send you more resources, but I still don't have an army to speak of, so I shouldn't castle yet. I'll be able to give support though, if needed. But not much.
For besieging, you only need the baron to settle it after you win it. So, no other resources that I noticed. Honestly, I forgot to even check that.

I'd probably go in with another assault and really work his army down. Then go in with a siege with new units leaving the original in assault mode. But I don't know how fast you produce units, so not sure how well that would work. As the assault numbers were showing, you were going to win that battle. You just need to follow it with a siege force.

Lastly, I THINK the server is on GMT time. So, the sooner the better.

Very first time was an assault. I will hit him with an assault tomorrow to soften him up and then settle in with the siege. Assuming he doesn't have reinforcements incoming.
I was in for 2 rounds of siege, and the night protection went from, like, 27% to 40% over that hour. I went from gaining 3% of city control the first round to only 4% the second round, and Night Prot was going to get much worse, if the rate of change is steady, at least another 5 hours. Had to pull out.
I can go in with about 1k more troop strength in the morning, with units that hit harder than zerks. I'll just do that.

Launched another assault about an hour ago.
At the time his city hadn't grown since last night.... but it is growing now as my troops are incoming.
Throwing this at him.
If they do well, when they get back I might launch a siege.
I guess this guy is never afk.

This went well.
The next question is do I assault again when they get back to further fuck with him and really knock him down, or start another siege?

He built a lot of Templars since last night it looks like.

Did somethign different.... sent all of my mounted troops, about 3kTS worth, to assault. Round trip, 1 hour and 20.
Sent everything else, including the Baron, to siege. About 4k TS worth of stuff. ETA 2 hours.
My mounted units will be able to join the siege with the rest of the troops, and they get to sneak in an additional assault. Sweet. Should have thought of that before.
