The first line use to say I had 166 items with protection disabled. After my update it says I have 0. Which one do I want showing 0 or a large number. Besides that what is Active X and do I want to accept cookies from them. I have no idea what it is so I said disable.

AcitveX is necessary for some programs, and some websites sites dynamic content (like games). Since it's runs programs on your computer it can be misused by baddies to cause you harm (install viruses, etc.).
Cookies are bits of information that you allow websites to put on your computer. This lets them track who you are when you go from page to page. They can store user data (like what you want in your shopping cart) Some websites won't work properly without cookies.
Some people hate cookies due to privacy concerns.

I did alittle reading. It says Active X based spyware, dialers, etc. Thanx
