Bagpipers playing to the beat of a heavy metal drummer.

I would like to hear it with a more inspired drummer but I am genetically disposed to like bagpiping so it's pretty good.

I don't know any Taylor Swift songs, but I have a feeling this might be the only thing she does that I like.

And she didn't really do it.

Nine Inch Nails + Taylor Swift.

It's catchy.

Thank you for teaching me about shitty pop music. I'm still not going to pay attention to 99% of it, though.

I keep up on it:

1) Because it's entertaining to see the evolution of music. Pop holds a weird place because it changes all the fucking time.

2) Because I play enough pub trivia to have a passing interest in getting some sound rounds correct.

This post on Penny Arcade got me thinking, specifically this line:
I have whatever the musical version of pica is.

Pica.

This is one of the most perfect songs I've ever heard, in spite of it also being one of the most disharmonious, lyrically horrendous, and musically amateur pieces ever made. I give you Wesley Willis in all his glory doing "I Wupped Batman's Ass." I wasn't kidding about the first sentence. I love this song.

How the fuck does one embed youtube vids here anymore?

Over the past couple weeks, I've noticed some songs consistently creeping into my playlist.

That MAW song is on my car thumb drive playlist with about 500 other songs.

Jump down the shelters to get away.

When I saw Colin last, it was the only song he didn't play that I really wanted to hear.

The other one from them I like that most people don't know is "Down by the Sea."

Tool's Schism in a major key is crazy-cheerful.
