The most fucking insane concert I've ever been to. Easily 40,000 folk. Given the monsoon season the Midwest seems to be getting, the grounds resembled a swamp. Going up & down hills almost always resulted in falling into the mud. There were a few mud slip & slide lanes that were being used continuously during the show. It was like bowling for people. The mud lanes ended right at the pits after running the downward slope for about 75% of the way from the crest of the hill surrounding the stage. This meant that moshing was even more dangerous than usual. I'd also bet half the cars in the "parking lot" (a vacant field) got stuck on the way out & needed ass't.

The first few times I heard their stuff I really liked their intensity, but as I started listening to their lyrics, I couldn't get past the bullshit I was hearing.

Now if I hear their songs I pretend they're singing about something else.

Witnessing the pandemonium & the subsequent entertainment provided by it was almost worth the price of the ticket alone.

To Zach's credit, he was slamming both parties.

Zach's either a narrow-minded commie or a shrewd businessman. I'm still deciding which. There was something hilariously ironic about 40K+ folk, most of which probably forked out about $75 per ticket going to see a hard rock show about damning the Man.

Commie.

I knew a girl who'd hand out with them and their crowd. I specifically remember arguing with her over whether or not the Cuban (government made) documentary she watched with them was propaganda or not.

She eventually admitted I was right after I brought up some obvious points.

I only remember because a female admitted that I was right.

Once all the Ticketmaster "fees" get applied, I'd bet that's average price. & those were the cheap seats. Not really seats, mind you, just permission to stand around in the boggy moor the area'd turned into. Actual, physical seats were probably going for $125 at least.

Saw Weird Al at the state fair for about $20. Put on a helluva show, too.

I love Weird Al.
He's the #1 artist that I haven't seen, who I'd like to see.
