Well, if we're being honest, I'd very much prefer being the only person with a gun. If I could make laws making that a reality, sure. Why not.

Yeah, I was looking somewhere else first online, picked out a gun, went to add ammo "Nothing found" - Wtf? Ohhhhhhhh.

But I've got 50 bullets, so hopefully I don't even need that many. :)

With good trigger discipline, you shouldn't.

Depends on how crazy things get, right?

I have been meaning to restock as well, but luckily still have a bunch. Wanted to get back up to 1000 rounds of each. I'm probably at about 400.

I like Sig WAY better than Glock. I would have recommended going to a gun shop and renting a bunch to see what you liked. They all feel/shoot different. Do that for the next one!

You did recommend that, and that was my plan. Until my wife said "Go get a gun" and there was a rush on guns everywhere.

Once hysteria is over, I'll be more deliberate for #2.

Another Walmart last night (Last one) customer asks "Is there any shotgun ammo?" I said that all the stores are sold out. I'm told that it's because of rabbit season. He replied that he's seen a lot of rabbit seasons come and go without a shortage of ammo. I said that maybe people are stocking up for the virus apocalypse. He chuckled and pointed out that even all the bird shot is gone and that's not going to do anything to zombies.

Found that to be a funny take on things. Some new gun owners are feeling safe with their underpowered ammo.

1) I know nothing about shotguns.

2) According to a Chappelle stand-up I watched; you have to use bird shot as a warning before your buckshot. Obviously may vary by state, and it was a comedian talking.

But I mean, wouldn't a face full of birdshot kinda suck?

Stingy, yeah. Stopping power, no. Someone on PCP (or whatever) wouldn't even feel it.

A big slug is going to leave a 5 inch hole on the other side.

Getting shot by anything sucks. Rule #1 of a gunfight is: bring a gun. The rest is details.

I've known more than one person shot with small-caliber rounds. All of them said they didn't even realize they'd been shot at first, due to all the adrenaline in their systems... which one would assume that a home-invader, or heavy drug user, would have.

I think there'd be no ambiguity if you'd just been hit by a shotgun slug.

Two in the chest and one in the head

Though, the Shawshank Redemption told me to avoid 3 in each body + 1 in each head if using a 6 shooter.

I won't release actual numbers but I will just say that my supply is closer to "1 hour of target practice" instead of my goal of "he really seemed like a normal guy" level.

Went shooting today. We mostly shot 22s. Started with a bolt-action Winchester, moved to a AR, then a Beretta(?) before finally firing my Sig Sauer.

These are my first 2 shots with it from a range of 10 yards.

My friend has... more ammo than I could imagine. He has 5,000 rounds of 22s just to start with.

Inherited a Lorcin .380, a cheapie but free.

These things don't explode in your hand, do they?

Looks like a gun a bond girl would pull out of her purse. Or cleavage.
