I know they were a guild, thought they had something to with the old G alliance, which was practically before my time.
ALso, the thing with Bob i've been following since it happened.
I frequent the SA forums a lot these days and regged in early january.
Basically Goons got one of the major Bob directors to defect.
He had enough clout that he FUCKING DESTROYED BOB, as in the alliance name. Kicked out all the member corps. They lost all there sov, among a number of other logistical and cohesion problems and stuff. Not to mention it's been this big media blitz, plus he stole a fuckload of money and equipment in the process.
It means a lot more i guess if you played the game. It's not like he actually killed bob, because it's not like they stopped fighting, but basically he made it so that they cannot ever use the name Band of BRothers in game ever again.
It's like someone stealing your TKV guildstone in UO I suppose?
