Never heard that phrase before.
Btw, they both left right after we started logging.
But then someone from OSS showed up. Not familiar with them.

I think it's an old obscure phrase used before Futurama. Like from the 30's or something.
Usually the full phrase is "Cheese it, it's the cops!"

The actual fixed idiom here is simply "cheese it'' (because that part of the phrase can be used alone and still keep the same meaning), so we'll leave "the cops'' out of this explanation. "Cheese it'' has been part of English slang since at least the mid-1800s. The word "cheese'' has been used with the meaning "to put an end to'' or "to stop'' since at least 1812, and this is the sense which led to the idiomatic expression. Whoever began using "cheese'' in that way apparently decided to "cheese it'' when people asked why, though, because no one has ever determined where that sense came from or why putting an end to an action should be related to cheese. The exact origin of the phrase must be labeled unknown.

Yesterday may have been one of the most fun days I've had yet in the game. Moving up to dangerous territory, dodging enemies, engaging in diplomacy with peeps, blowing up bigger "monsters" than I'd faced before. Apparently chasing away one person that I thought was chasing us (Zendor).
I admit the missions got tedious, but it was worth the time spent on missions to have the money/skills to go out to 0.0 now. It's like the game as the initial, fun, exploring part, then the tedious "get rich enough to get to the real game" part, then the real game/fun part.
I'm a fan.
