Got up at 530 this morning to be to Sears by 6 to get 150$ off my new washing machine. Learned a few things. The person in front of me got her paperwork through the site. When it is my turn the website is down. So either it was flooded and broke or the rebates were done by 620. One chain of stores opened at midnight.
Michigan and Indiana sold out in the first 4 hours of the deal.
The biggest cluster fuck of the deal is the 75$ I can get for scraping my old washer. Can only be done at a certified recycler. They drain the oil and whatnot correctly. The nearest one is Columbus. A 2 plus hour drive. Sears will deliver my new one and take the old one for 65$. I still have a 10$ gain.
I am suppose to have 3 days to file my rebate online. I hope it is just crashed and not over. Otherwise it is back to Sears to buy a cheaper washer. WTF.

The government can't keep a website running. Shocker.
