Department of Homeland Security, that is.
Seriously. What good is it?

Who else is going to do the brave job of keeping toothpaste off our planes? Yeah, it was great fun flying after that asshat Nigerian decided to suck at blowing up a flight. Fuck you, TSA. I'm getting to the point where I'd rather drive thru southern Minnesota, Iowa, & northern Missouri for 9-10 hours than deal w\ you fuckwits for five minutes.thibodeaux wrote:Department of Homeland Security, that is.

I'd say he was just incompetent, but he claimed allegiance to a particular organization quick as all hell. His association w\ them just makes them look more incompetent. Had he succeeded, that might've been different.GORDON wrote:If I had to make a wild guess, I'd say someone threatened his family members if he didn't do it.
Some evil.GORDON wrote:Evil is stupid.
Shows the level of incomptence with terrorists. Would anyone be able to tell if an area of Detroit got blowed up?unkbill wrote:Twice in one week coming into Detroit. I think someone in Amsterdam doesn't like Detroit. Or is there some giant fuckup in security for that flight?
If they're that incompetent, they might accidentally take the wrong flight to the wrong city & blow that place up. I'm not counting on stupidity to work in my favour.Vince wrote:Shows the level of incomptence with terrorists. Abdulmutallab allegedly hid the explosive materials in his underwear. Security experts contend he might have been detected before he got on the flight through the use of advanced imaging equipment that is in limited use in airports because of cost and privacy concerns.
Tom Blank is a former high-ranking official with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration.
"We have got to get over some of the privacy concerns and figure out how to use this technology in a broader way," he said.
Maybe Al Gore is behind TSA, using it to battle global warming. And search for Manbearpig.Malcolm wrote:Maybe the real goal of the TSA is to make flying so much of a pain in the ass that the only fuckers stupid enough to take an airplane for travel purposes would have to have ulterior motives.
High-speed trains can crack 150-200mph elsewhere in the world pretty reliably. I'd gladly spend 4-6 hours on a bullet train than 1.5 - 2 via airplane.GORDON wrote:We need to fix Amtrack. It shouldn't take 7 days and $2000 to travel across this country by train.
Does Russia have them? Or maybe India or China or the Aussies? I ask because those are about the only nations big enough to be comperable. I know Japan has them, but they're like, the size of Indiana or something.Malcolm wrote:High-speed trains can crack 150-200mph elsewhere in the world pretty reliably.
