Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson are husband and wife. (They spoil that in the trailer, so I don't mind doing so here.) He's a detective in a small town and she's an anchor at an Atlanta TV station. A murder happens in said small town and that brings everyone together. How does it all relate to their past and marriage?
I'm doing this as spoiler free as I can, so that might not be the sexiest summary, but it's accurate.
6 40-45 minute episodes will have you guessing who the killer is, and you'll probably be wrong.
This is very well acted, written, and directed.
My only real gripe is one line that was bullshit. The character was acting correctly, but said the wrong thing. The thing said was, I assume, meant to throw the audience off. It was probably a throw away line for most people, but stuck with me for some reason.
Still, I hope this creative team does more.
