Speak No Evil (2024)

An American couple and their daughter go to Europe to visit an English family they had met on a previous vacation. Hijinx ensue.
This film is 1000% carried by James McAvoy. The other performances are good, but he is light years above the rest of the cast.
The story is a slow burn, which makes it a bit frustrating because you know shit is wrong, so you're waiting for the revelation(s). Also, you'll find it a bit difficult to see people sticking around when the craziness rears its head. There's a moment where you'll absolutely be pulled from the story because you'll be saying aloud, "No way in fucking hell you're doing this right now."
One other bit that pulled me from my immersion is...how do I say this without spoilers...one character is infuriating.
It was an entertaining watch, but a bit too slow and formulaic.
