Netflix film and the best one I've seen in a while.

Taron Egerton is a TSA agent with greater aspirations, but low motivation. He's hooked up with a pretty security officer at LAX and has a best friend also working TSA. Things happen and he tries to make a career move. That runs afoul of a man with a nefarious plan played by Jason Bateman. His henchman is played by the always excellent, Theo Rossi. You'll recognize Dean Norris too. Also, for some reason, Logan Marshall-Green looks a hell of a lot like Tom Hardy in this film. Not initially, but he made me do a double take during the car scene.

Yeah, I know, a TSA agent as the main protagonist is a joke all by itself, but it works.

While Egerton is the star and does a great job, the film is carried by Bateman. Bateman is excellent as the villain. Cool, calm, and always one step ahead. He pulls it off so well despite it being a massive departure from his normal roles that I think people need to start considering him one of the best actors of our generation. Name a show or film he disappointed in, I'll wait.

It gets a bit chaotic and silly towards the end, but it maintains its entertainment value.

Very fast paced once the hijinks begin, so don't look away.

They also lean heavily into X-Mas, so this gets added to the list of good action movies set during X-Mas like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon.

Recommended.

Huh. From the previews, I figured it was garbage. Or maybe cuz it's on Netflix
