What do y'all think of some peeps adding "art" to STEM?
Seems to violate the entire intent of the acronym, to me.

Steam is the world's largest software distribution platform and ALSO a gaming platform.
I think art is a super underrated subject. It is not a throwaway.
It can help one express themselves, learn to be creative, and even help develop critical thinking skills. I think art can go hand in hand with developing other skills.
Grand Admiral Thrawn agrees with me.

I kinda see both sides. I guess I also just don't care.

It feels like the reason they broke off classic-STEM off from the rest of education was to highlight, "This is a serious tech student, not in basket-weaving program."
Trying to add "Art" back into it feels like the basket-weavers don't like the stigma of being basket weavers.

I don't disagree with that either.
Art can be a compliment to STEM, but should not be a core tenant.
